About Breaux Bridge

Where Cajun culture comes alive in the heart of Louisiana

The Crawfish Capital of the World

Nestled along the banks of Bayou Teche in St. Martin Parish, Breaux Bridge is a small town with a big personality. Our streets are lined with century-old oak trees, our restaurants serve the best Cajun food you'll ever taste, and our dancehalls echo with the sounds of accordion and fiddle.

In 1959, the Louisiana Legislature officially declared Breaux Bridge the “Crawfish Capital of the World” - a title we've proudly held ever since. But we're more than just crawfish. We're a living testament to Cajun culture, where French is still spoken, traditions are honored, and visitors become family.
